My January Favorites!

Here are a few things that i couldn't separate myself from this entire month!
1) Urban Decay Foreshadow Palette - i think i've mentioned this palette before. i dont know if you can tell but im hitting pan on Stray Dog! lol Lately i've been using Oil Slick.. It's not as sparkly as it looks once you put it on, so it's my new favorite subtle black i love this palette.

2) Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in Lust - i absolutely love this color! the one i have is from a travel size set that i got a few months ago, so i've had it for awhile lol i recently discovered it though and i love to use it on my waterline for a pop of color. Brown eyes + purple liner = love!

3) Ardell Black Wispies - i know i talked about these before but i had to add them to my list. if you read about my little mini haul from Sallys you know about these. I've been wearing them everyday since i got them. I might have to go get new ones soon lol They're officially my favorite lashes. They look natural, they're the perfect length for everyday wear. If you haven't checked these out yet please do!

4) Stila Bronzer in Shade 1 - i use this every single day. it goes on smoothly and doesn't make my face look dirty! finally a bronzer that doesn't smudge on my face and makes me look like i played with mud at the end of the day. It matches my skin the way i like it and i highly recommend it.

5) My homemade Lip Erase - believe it or not i've been using this every single day to moisturize my lips. Even if i use another lipstick, i always use this first. The vaseline smoothes out my lips and the concealer pales them out without drying them. If you don't know what im talking about check out this post about it (Do it yourself)

6) Revlon Colorstay Lipstick in Smooth Nude - officially my favorite drugstore lipstick..i want to go check out other colors since im lipstick deprived lol i've been using this a lot lately. I have it in my purse and i always use it for touch-ups. If you haven't tried this yet please do your going to be amazed with how smooth and soft it is.

7) Stila Plumping lip glaze in Citrus Mint - i love this! it seriouslsy stayes on for like the longest time. I love pairing up with my lip erase. It gives it such a nude peach shimmery color and it lasts for a while. i dont know if the plumping idea works or i just cant tell but the tingly minty feelings is funky i love it

8) China Glaze nail polish in Good Witch? - i've been wearing this alot! I didn't make a post about it because i wanted to include it in my january faves. It's a cool pink frost with tiny glitters. It stayes on for a long time and doesn't chip off like many nail polishes do. I put on three coats to get a good solid color. After it dries its not that smooth as regular nailpolishes, it has a rough texture feeling because of the glitters, so if that bothers you than its not for you but other than that i love it
9) Adam Lambert For your Entertainment - i know this is not at all makeup related but i just HAD to mention it. I got it like a few days after New Years and i've been listening to it ever since. His voice, his style and his music are amazing. One of my favorites so far this year.

FOTD - Purple

I decided to throw on some purple on my eyes today. I love wearing purple eyeshadow but i personally believe i don't have a good purple that im happy with. The most purples i have are from my 120 palette and that's what i used today. I paired it up with a brown eyeshadow in the crease and purple eyeliner. I included a picture of my 120 palette and showing you the shadows i used in case you have the palette. Hope you like it =)

My top favorite lip glosses!

Making this post made me realize im a lip gloss addict! I tried making a post of my favorite lipsticks but i don't have that many lol I have a bunch of glosses that vary in color. I decided to pick my top favorite that i use a lot or just can't live without. So here they are...
(Left to Right)

NARS Turkish Delight - so this one may not be a surprise to some of you lol i use this the most and it is my top favorite. It's my HG lip gloss. You can kinda tell how much there's left in it right now lol If you don't have this in your collection i highly recommend it. It's a pale pink sorbet lip gloss that is worth having. You can get it at Sephora for $24. Trust me it's worth it.

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze in Unlimited Nectar - i recently got this and im loving the color. Again the taste and smell bug the heck out of me but once it's on i don't really pay attention lol maybe with more uses i'll end up warming up to it. I love the consistency and the fact that it lasts, which is why i added it to my top faves.

Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect 257 - if you've seen my Christmas post you know that i got this as a sample and i'm still considering getting the full size in maybe different shades. It goes on so smoothly and its not sticky at all. I love wearing it by itself or you can pair it up with a pink lipstick. It's a gorgeous shade either way...warm pink with shimmers

Sephora Lip Gloss in Precious Pink - i got this as a free birthday gift from Sephora. It's one of three shades that i love but this one's my top favorite. It's a gorgeous bubble gum pink which goes on clear anyway but you can still see the pink and gold shimmer. I carry it in my purse and whenever i need touch-up i use this. If you didn't get this as a free gift, you can buy a bigger version of it at Sephora for $10.

Sally Girl Lip Gloss Clear - i think i've mentioned before that i got because of my spontanious reaction lol being only 99 cents for such a tiny thing i didn't have high expectations but im really loving it lol It's not a thick clear gloss that is so heavy on the lips. It's very easy to work with and goes on smoothly. I usually pair it up with Revlon Nude Attitude lipstick. It's a very handy gloss i love it lol

Do any of these make your "top favorites" list? What are some of yours?

FOTD - Subtle Smokey Eye

So i realized i haven't done an FOTD post in a while. I don't really wear exciting makeup at school. I have been doing this simple subtle smokey eye for the past two days now. I love smokey eyes so i wear them a lot. It's like my signature style lol I thought i would do a post today. Hope you like it =)

REVIEW - Moist Hemp Bronzing Moisturizer

I'm going to start off by letting you all know a little about my skin. I'm very pale. If i don't wear bronzer or anything im very white. During the summer, i do get a little color but i usually burn before i can actually get a nice tan. My face and chest are the hardest for me to tan. I used to go to the tanning salon for about two years and i always tanned un-evenly (my face and chest tan very hard). I just used bronzer on my face and chest and that's why i didn't stop going. (I went through a lot of bronzers lol). I stopped going to the salon for about a year now and of course my skin got super pale and white. I'm a friendly casper! lol I decided to take matters in my own hands. I've never used self-tanners before. I'm still trying to figure out which ones are good and worth buying because i don't want to end up orange!
(Big No-No)
I went to Sally's Beauty Salon about a week or so ago and this product caught my eye. It's the Moist Hemp Bronzing Moisturizer. First i wasn't so sure about it but i took a chance because i was too pale for my liking. The price is $8.49. It's an 18 oz. bottle with a pump. I can honestly tell you im very happy with it. It's a gradual tanner, which is supposed to give you a full tan color after 7 days. Aside from giving you that hint of tan, it also moisturizes! You're supposed to use it daily to keep up the tan or deepen it. The content, hempseed oil and CoQ comples condition, firm, and hydrate skin for a soft feel and gorgeous glow.
Here's how i use it:
I apply it all over starting with my legs and working my way up. Last thing i work on are my arms. I don't use a fan to dry it because it dries fast on its own and doesn't smudge on my clothes. I don't apply it on my face anymore because it broke me out (i have sensitive oily skin). I work it all the way up to my jawline then stop. Blending but not over-blending is important. I rub it enough to not see the lotion anymore. I make sure to wash my hands. I skipped that part the first three times and i had a lovely muddy tan smear between my fingers lol
The smell bugged me a bit in the very beginning but i got used to it. It's a mix between a tanning lotion with a hint of coconut. I've been using it everyday for a whole week and now the past two or three days i've skipped a day. It doesn't come off if you take a shower unless you exfoliate everytime. All in all im really in love with this product. I love the fact that it's a gradual tanner which for me is perfect because i don't want that extreme dark tan which will be very obvious. This gives me a nice hint of color and i absolutely love that!
Just to give you an idea of what color i am now foundation wise, i am a Mac Studi Fix Fluid in NC35. The Revlon Colorstay in Golden Beige i recently got doesn't really match me anymore lol So i went to Mac to test out foundations and they gave me a sample of the NC35 and it's a perfect match! I believe before i was probably an NC25 without all the pounds of bronzers i put on lol
Project get a new foundation is coming up soon lol

Have you heard of this tanner? Do you use any?

NOTD - Sephora by OPI: Just a Fairy-Tail

I mentioned in my previous i went to Sephora and purchased a nail polish, which was on sale for $5. This shade is part of the Mermaid in the Shade collection which was a limited edition last summer. There are six shades total in this collection and this is one of them.
I love this color. It's called Just a Fairy-Tail. I used about three coats to get the true color. It's a gorgeous silver metallic with hints of blue in it. Gorgeous i love it!

Lets talk about the BeneFit

So i stopped by Sephora the other day. I didn't get to buy anything exciting except a nail polish which i will post about soon. But i did get to browse around and make that mental "wish list" longer... is that even possible?!?! yes lol I stopped at the BeneFit counter and i swatched a bunch of things (concealers, lip/cheek stain and blushes). My hand looked super messy BUT i realized i don't give BeneFit cosmetics the credit they deserve. I fell in love with their blushes! The texture is very smooth, the pigmentation is great and colors are gorgeous. My favorite thing about them is the packaging. It's like a tiny box of lovelyness lol They're $28 each and it comes with a soft, natural-bristle blush brush. The two that stood out to me are CORALista and Sugarbomb. I really love them and want them.

CORALista - coral blush for a tropical flush
It's a very warm coral-pink blush and i absolutely love it. I love coral blushes, they compliment my skin tone. I like wearing pink blushes but not all work on me so this is the perfect combination!

Sugarbomb - "sugar rush flush" face powder
This one is actually a new release and its gorgeous. I love the 4 colors that get combined when you swirl the brush to get the color. The shades are peach, soft plum, shimmering pink and rose.

Have you tried any of the BeneFit blushes yet? What do you think about these?

Picture of the Day!

I went to the pet store today to get my doggies some food and i went past this sale shelf. I stopped because they had the cutest outfits! They're really old from Halloween but they were $3 so i couldn't pass it up and not get one lol
Here's my baby wearing it! Loving it? I do! =)

ITS HERE! - Stila Bronzed Glow Set

So today i got my Stila order i posted about! I was very excited and im very happy with what i got. I can't wait to try them out. Here are pictures of everything in the set.
Baked Eye shadow trio - Bronze Glow
Plumping Lip Glaze - Citrus Mint
Illuminating Finishing Powder - Rose Gold
Stila Sun Spf15 Bronzing Powder - Shade 1
__________________________________________
Baked Eyeshadow Trio - Bronze Glow
The colors in this trio are Rose, Gold Bronze, Ivory. You can use them either wet or dry. I love how soft they are and they seem really easy to blend and work with. It's very sheer and smooth. It reminds me a lot of the Mac mineralized eyeshadows.

Illuminating Finishing Powder - Rose Gold
This definitely reminds me of the Mac mineralized skin finishes. This particular shade was featured in the Sephora special set for $10 (it also included Bronze). I was sad i couldn't find those when i went to ge them so getting this set was perfect. Rose Gold is a light shimmery pink. I love how soft it is and the pigmentation. You only need a little bit to add a glow to your face.

Stila Sun Spf15 Bronzing Powder - Shade 1
Since i was in need of a good bronzer this came in just in time. I love the fact that it has SPF in it! The shade is gorgeous. It's a sheer golden matte bronze. Isn't that fabulous?? It's not too matte but its not extremely sheer either. Im in love with the packaging its so cute. And it comes with a compact mirror also

Plumping Lip Glaze - Citrus Mint
This is actually my first lip plumper, i've never used one before lol Its a click pen, like other Stila glazes. The shade is gorgeous. Its a sheer peach. It gives the lips a subtle tingly feeling but nothing extreme like burning or anything. The consistency is ok, just because its one of those sticky glosses lol other than that i really like it.

Urban Decay - Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows!

If anyone knows anything new that is cooler than this please let me know lol
Alice in Wonderland has to be one of my top favorites. I've watched it too many times and i am beyond excited that the movie is coming out soon! (March 5th!)
When i saw this i thought oh my God!!!! Make-up AND Disney!
I wasn't into this whole book of shadows thing when it first came out, though i've heard good things about it. This new one though really is worth it. It feels like a collectible item, plus the colors are REALLY pretty. Here's what it comes with:

-16 eyeshadows: Underland, Alice, Oraculum, Queen, Chessur, White Rabbit, Wonderland, Curiouser, Muchness, Mushroom, Midnight Tea Party, Vorpal, Absolem, Drink Me Eat Me, Mad Hatter and Jabberwocky.
-2 travel sized 24/7 eye pencils in Zero and Flipside
-1 travel sized eyeshadow primer potion
All these are in a pull-out drawer, below a pop-up scene from the movie.
I believe its currently sold out on the Urban Decay website and it's limited edition so if you can get your hands on it i suggest you do!

New Hair Color!

(picture from Google)

I recently colored my hair with the new Garnier HerbaShine. I usually color my hair with Garnier because it has no ammonia. I don't like to use harsh chemicals. So since my brown roots were growing out i decided to color it. I picked this one because i saw it on sale, and that it's new. The reason i like getting these on sale is because i need two boxes! lol i have to much hair that one box is never enough. The shade i picked is Soft Black (200)
______________________________
What is HerbaShine?
A new generation of haircolor from Garnier with bamboo extract. It improves the condition of hair by fortifying the cuticle while wrapping it in radiant, shiny color.

How does it work?
This exclusive ammonia free color creme with bamboo extract reinforces the hair's protective cuticle layer while coloring. Hair looks and feels stronger for radiant color that's trulyl shiny and luminous.

Will it cover gray hair?
Garnier HerbaShine offers natural gray coverage that lasts through 28 shampoos.

Is it easy to apply?
Application is simple and pleasant. HerbaShine's fragrance is fresh and soothing. The rich, creamy formula spreads easily and doesn't drip. It only takes 10 minutes to get HerbaShine's radiant, shiny color!
___________________________

My opinion: It works really well. The kit comes with: Activating Creme, Ammonia Free Color creme, Shine-infused conditioner, instruction sheet & gloves. I got the color i wanted and i only stayed about 15 minutes with it in my hair. It doesn't drip, it smells nice and the conditioner (step3) smells amazing. Something like coconuts lol It made my hair really soft and shinny. I've gotten a lot of compliments and im really happy with it.

NOTD - Tickle Me Ulta

( photo from Ulta)

I rediscovered another product in my collection! Don't you love when that happens lol you keep buying things and then realize you've had what you were looking for all along!!!
I purchased this the past summer and wore it i believe once lol I got it at Ulta when they had some sale. I honestly don't remember exactly lol I was in the mood the other day for something pink/purple and i decided to use this one. It's such a girly color! It's called Tickle Me, and its a pink and violet mix. It made me think that this shade belongs in a Skittles packet lol
(Photo from Google)

It goes on very smoothly and you can make a choice of wearing either one coat or two coats to deepen the color. It works either way. I used two coats and this is the third way wearing it and it still looks great. I haven't tried any other Ulta nail polishes but im contemplating on getting more.
