Review: KKCENTERHK False Eyelashes

I was recently contacted by a representative from  http://www.kkcenterhk.com who was kind enough to provide my with some lashes to try out. They offer a variety of different types of falsies, wigs and other items. I love that they have a really huge selection of lashes that you can choose from at a very affordable price for the amount of lashes you get, depending on which type you choose. 

I was sent four different sample boxes of the ES brand: A020, A134, A109, A119. Each box contains 10 pair of lashes.

A020 - Clear liner short under lower eyelashes - $3.50

I've never tried lower lashes before so it was kind of interesting to see how they work. I'm still experimenting with how to use them and wear them. It's personally not something i would wear on a daily basis but definitely something i would consider adding to my eyes for a night out. The lashes themselves are quite long so they have to be cut and adjusted to the shape of your eyes.

A134 - Hand Made Clear Line Black Natural False Eyelashes - $4.98

 

Out of all of lashes, these have to be my favorite ones. They seem very natural, long and curled up very nicely. They kind of remind of Kim Kardashian style of lashes where they're long enough to reach close to the eyebrow. These seem that long because they curl as i applied mascara so i love that about them.

A109 - Black false EyeLashes - $3.80

 

I'm not sure if i prefer these specific lashes since my own lashes aren't too long and the reason why i would wear lashes is to have longer thicker lashes. This specific pair has very thin hair, so while it gives the length it doesn't give me the volume im looking for. They do however work great cut in half and keeping focus on elongating the outer corner of the eye.

A119 - Luxe Black false EyeLashes - $5.20

 First thing that i thought when i looked at these lashes was "Snooki" LOL! They're gorgeous thick lashes that you would definitely wear on a night out. They don't look natural for everyday, unless you prefer this look. I love that the band is flexible to it adjusts to the eye shape pretty easily and stays put nicely. Again, they're very long so you might have to cut and adjust to your eyes. 

In general i think the wesbite should be checked out for good quality lashes at very reasonable prices. You have a ton of variety of lashes to choose from. I haven't had problems with them so far and i would probably consider buying from them in the future since i'm lash addict LOL!

My top 2010 favorites!

First of... Happy New Year everyone!!! Thank you to all the new subbies that read my page..Welcome! I'm really sorry i didn't post an official new years post, i've been having personal issues to deal with so i haven't had much blogging time but im hoping i can fix that and get back on track.

I know this post is a bit late but i just have to mention a few products that i couldn't live without in my makeup collection in the past year. I would definitely find myself re-purchasing all of these products as soon as i finish them. I'm going to go through the products and tell you why i loved them individually. 

Urban Decay Naked Palette - I'm pretty sure this one is on a lot of your lists for 2010. This was a big deal when it first came out and it's been my most used palette that i own. The color selection is amazing and works for any natural/smokey look you can think of coming up with. I believe this is a permanent palette so i can always find it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't yet have it. Check out review and swatches HERE.

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty foundation in Sandy Beige - I've used this for most of the year and i prefer it over any other drugstore foundation that i've tried. As soon as i went back to it after using the Revlon Photoready for a while, i knew that this one was my keeper LOL! I have a quick review on it so check it out HERE.

Mac Rhapsody in Two mineralized blush - I've been using this every single day since i got it from the Too Fabulous collection that came out last year. I use it as a highlight, not so much as a blush since it's so glowy and shimmery. I mostly use it on the bridge of my nose and sometimes on my cheeks if i dont use another shimmery blush.

Mac Refined Golden bronzer - I actually have to go buy another one because i finished the one i got from the To The Beach collection. It's the perfect bronzer to me. The little golden sparkles don't show up on the face but it still gives a nice bronzy glow. I love using this to contour my cheek bones and my hairline on my forehead. So far, it's my favorite bronzer out there. 

MeMeMe blush in Rouge - i recently did a review on this blush because i just can't stop using it. It's a gorgeous color, and gives a great glow to my face. Too bad it's not sold in the US but ill definitely swap for more in the future. You can check out swatches and a full review HERE.

Mac Myth lipstick - I'm almost finished with this one that i have and if i don't get a backup soon i feel like i will die lol! I don't think any lipstick in this world can replace the love that i have for this one. It's definitely pale but with a gloss on top, it's perfect for me. I love the nude- pink color pay-off. It's a satin finish so it goes on very smooth. Definitely my HG lipstick

NYX Sweet heart lipgloss - I love combining this with Myth lipstick. It's not an annoying sticky gloss. It's very creamy and shinny and makes my lips look a bit fuller and very nice. The smell and taste are like cherry coke but i got used to it by now lol Check out swatch HERE.

Milani Liquif'Eye metalic eyeliner pencil - I can't part with this eyeliner. I re-purchased it all year since i first tried it out. It's the perfect eyeliner that doesn't irritate my eyes at all. Definitely my HG drugstore liner. Check out a full review with pictures HERE.

Sally Girl Mini baked eyeshadow in Grey Purple - this has been my favorite purple that i would not hesitate to keep re-purchasing. Especially when it's only 99 cents! I think this is the top purple that i own and i always use it most over any other eyeshadow that i have. Highly recommend these. Check out swatch and more colors HERE.

Sinful Colors in Easy Going - i always find myself reaching for this shade out of all the nailpolished i own. It's a milky pink color and it works great all year long. It makes me feel like i still have a slight tan so i love wearing it right now LOL! You can never go wrong with simple shades like these so it's definitely my top pick.

My first Mac brushes!

I've been wanting Mac brushes for like ever but always end up spending money on other makeup so i don't have enough for the pricey brushes that Mac has to offer. So my darling boy surprised me for my birthday and sent me this limited edition set of travel sized brushes from the Holiday A Tartan Tale collection. Kudos to guys that go to Mac for their girlfriends seriously LOL!

This particular set is called "A Lady & Her Tricks Buff & Line Brush Collection" and it contains a total of five limited edition brushes including the 168SE, 187SE, 209SE, 219SE and 252SE. They all come with a super cute satchel thats green/blue and had plaid design with heraldic crest and metal rivets. It's perfect for traveling i love it! 

I'm really lovin the quality of all the brushes and i've been using them every single day. The 187SE is my new best friend and makes foundation applycation so flawless and easy i love it. It did shed a bit at the first, like all new brushes do when their new, but nonetheless im madly in love.

Latest Obsession: Covergirl Smoky eye Look

I finally got my hands on one of these popular sets that i've been dying to try out for a while now. I found it on clearance price at Target for $8.25 and of course i couldn't pass it. I've only tried it out for about two days now but i'm in love with it. The set that i got is the Natural Look. It also comes in Bold Look (frost blue) and Glamorous Look (silver-black).

Each individual set contains these

1 Line Exact Liquid Liner
Step by Step Instructions

The Natural Look Set that i got contains the Smoky Shadow Blast in Bronze Fire #815, a Lash Blast Mascara in Brown & Line Exact Liquid Liner in Brown. Bronze Fire shadow pencil is gorgeous. One end, which is labeled Step 1 is a golden champagne color with slight shimmer and the other end, labeled Step 2, is a copperish bronze with golden sheen. The set itself is very handy if you're just starting out with makeup or if you want to save money by getting more products in a step-by-step kit. It would be a great buy for your green/hazle eyed babes out there. 

Smoky Shadow Blast

She shadow pencil is a great combination of color though and i really love it. It definitely brings out my eyes if i pair it up with some black liner. It still gives me a very natural look. It is a creamy consistency so if you have oily lids you have to be a bit careful with these. I did find that it creased a bit on me but i applied some powder onto my lids and it's holding out good. I think this shadow pencil will be a no-no in the summer time for me though. I would still re-purchase it and make it work somehow because its too pretty lol!

Line Exact Liquid Liner

I'm not sure how to feel about this eyeliner. It goes on great and looks bold but then it fades away quite quick. The eyes still look lined though so im confused as to how it works exactly lol. I love the felt tip and how easy it just glides on but because of its poor lasting power im not sure i would depend on buying it again after this finishes up.

 

Lash Blast Mascara
I've tried this mascara a while ago but got so caught up with trying new ones that i forgot how amazing it actually is. I dont know why i go out and try to find new mascaras when the love of my life has been the Lash Blast all along LOL! I will definitely go buy it in Black because using the Brown feels like too much brown for my brown eyes lol

Overall opinion:

I think these sets are really great for beginners or if you feel like you're going to be using all the products, then you're definitely up for a great bargain. I can only speak for the Natural Look though. I would like to try the other ones too. You can find these sets for $16.50 usually but if you happen to get to Target maybe you can find this for $8.25 like i did! They're packaged very nicely and i love that they include a step-by-step help of how to achieve a look using all the products. I would recommend checking them out, they definitely a great buy.

Review: MeMeMe blush!

I've been meaning to this requested post for a while, so i apologize for the extreme delay. 

This blush has been my addiction for a few weeks now. I recieved it in a swap from the UK, so if you live in the US it may be a little difficult to get your hands on it. 

The first thing that might strike you as familiar is the packaging which looks extremely similar to the blushes from Benefit. I personally love the boxed package, i think its super cute. 

 MeMeMe blushes come in four different shades, of which i have just this one but hope to get more in a future swap because im in love. They're called Coral, Bronze and Pink - i think the names are self discriptive of the shades of the blushes lol

The shade i have and use basically on a daily basis is called Rouge and its a gorgeous corally red-ish shade. It looks intense in the box and you only need a light hand to apply because it is quite pigmented. It's extremely soft to the touch, almost satiny. It give the face a light flush and because of the shimmer it also adds a nice glow to your cheeks. 

It comes with a soft flat brush that you can use. I personally don't use it because i find it difficult to work with, since it isn't round. It also has a mirror on the top lid which is super handy if you take these blushes somewhere with you. 

I apply a light hand on my cheeks and blend it in so im left with a rosy coral color and a slight sheen. The lasting power is decent. I don't find that it fades away much by the end of the day, so im really pleased with that.
