What's on my nails?

 I did my nails last night and i though i would share with you what i have on right now. I'm the type of person that gets bored with her nails pretty easily and always like to try something new out. 

I decided to wear this shade from Barry M called Strawberry, which i received in a swap a while back. It's a pale pink that becomes sort of a barbie pink the more coats you add. I'm wearing 3 coats so it looks a little more neon pink in certain light and not so pale. I love how it came out, it looks really summery and cute.

Swap Haul! (Pic heavy!)

One of the best parts about blogging is meeting amazing people from all over the world! My new favorite thing to do is swaping. It's so much fun to go out and buy makeup for other people. I recieved some pretty amazing things from the gorgeous Aneka (click for her blog), and i've been playing around with the for the past week. Finally i got some pictures of these goodies with swatches and a bit of a review. There's a lot of information so let's get started...

Let's start with these blushes from Models Own

I love them! I believe these are the only three shades of blushes from this brand. We have a pink, a neutral and a peach - perfect!. I love how soft they are and how smooth they apply. You also don't need a lot because they're pretty pigmented. They have a slight sheen to it, so i don't consider them matte blushes.

Cheeky Pink is a bubblegum pink blush. It gives the face a nice pink girly blush.

Warm Glow is so far my favorite. It's a peacy pinky nude shade.

Peach Blush is the lightest one and it's more of a highlight, because there's no color showing up ony skintone.

MeMeMe blush in Rouge

This was the blush that impressed me the most. I dont know if its the packaging or the product itself LOL! It comes in a box, similar to the ones from Benefit. There's a mirror inside the top and it comes with a flat brush. I've been swatching this every chance i get, because its sooooo smooth and soft. The color is very strong so you just need a light hand to apply it. It's a peachy coraly redish shade with soft sheen, so it will give your cheeks a glow. I think its amazing.

Barry M lip lacquer crayon in Ballet Pink

This is a funky product im lovin it lol It's basically a crayon lipstick. This shade is great for a night out. It's very sheer and sparkly after it fades a bit. It's a pale pink with purple glitters. It's very soft and smooth so it applies nicely. It's definitely something different, but its gorgeous.

Barry M lip gloss in 11Coral

This is another new shade from Barry M. It really is a gorgeous coral and tastes and smells like passion fruit i think lol It's very subtle, so if you want just a hint of coral over some pale lips, this would be the perfect gloss for that. It's very smooth and not sticky at all.

Barry M lipstick in 100 Baby pink

This is probably the most perfect baby doll pink. It's a pale pink, so i recommend some gloss on top. It goes on smoothly but since it has that dry feel, i recommend moisturizing before applying it. I feel like comparing it to the Gaga lipstick but i don't own it, so i would need your take on this.

Gosh intense lip colour in 301

I'm in love with this gloss. First of all, how cute is the light?? and it has a small mirror too! The shade itself is a gorgeous nude peach color. It's a very smooth formula that goes on pretty opaque, so i like paring it up with a super pale lipstick to make it neutral. It has a vanilla-ish scent to it, which reminded me of the Mac glosses.

Gosh lipstick in Darling

This is love. I'm sure a lot of people have heard about this lipstick and if you have the chance to get your hands on it, you wouldn't be sorry. It's smooth, moisturizing, looks glossy and its the most perfect nude with a pink undertone that has to be part of your collection is you're a nude lip freak like me. I accidently dug my nail into it hence the weird look on it lol but nonetheless its my favorite lipstick right now and im trying not to over use it lol

Models Own it nail polish in Lilac Dream

I'm absolutely in LOVE with the formula of this nail polish. I wanted to do a NOTD post with it that's why i dont have any swatches of any sort here. I think in my next swap i will only want Models Own nailpolishes because they're amazing quality and the color range is fantastic. I highly recommend them and stay tuned to see what it looks like on my nails!

NOTD - Barry M Mushroom

Finally i decided to wear this color. It always feels weird when i wear darker colors. I feel like it makes my skin look weird and makes me feel like a bad-ass LOL! This is a gorgeous color though. It's like a chocolate gray brownish color (if that makes any sense) LOL It's a perfect color for fall i love it. It's very opaque and i only applied one coat! I didn't think i needed two because it's just going to peal off. I don't need a top coat because it's shinny enough on its own. It's a perfect shade i highly recommend checking it out if you can.

August Favorites!

Should i say that summer is over yet?! I think it might be lol! It was a good summer but im glad that its over in a way. I dont really deal well with too much heat and i always find nicer things to wear when it colder out LOL! Do any of you feel that way or is it just me?!? Well anyway without further rambling, here are some of my favorite things that i've used the past month of August.

1) Jane Earth Sheer blush - this has been sitting in my drawer and i never reach for it for some odd reason. I think i've talked about this blush in various of my posts but never really wore it enough to show it to you. Well the past month its all i've been wearing on my cheeks. It has a subtle sheen to it, so it makes my face glow, while adding a pink flush. I recommend it if you can get your hands on it.

2) Barry M nailpolish in Berry - this has been on my nails since i got it LOL! It makes me feel like i have Skittle nails. It's very summery and girly. Since im over the pink shade, purple is my new thing for the moment.

3) Burt's Bees lip balm in Champagne - products from Burt's Bees never seem to let me down. Everything and anything that they sell is amazing. They're pretty affordable and you can usually find them at Target or Walmart for a better deal. Ulta has deals sometimes too. This specific balm tough is soooo pretty, because it has a sheen to it that looks a bit frosty on the lips and im all about that lately. It comes in various shades if you're interested in colors.

4) NYC creme blush in Plaza Pink - i did a review on this with more detailed thoughts and swatches. You can check it out HERE if you want. I am definitely looking to get more shades of this because i love the quality for the price. I highly recommend it.

5) Rimmel London Stay Matte powder - I'm really loving this powder. I recently got it and i think it works amazing. I apply it with a brush. I swirl it in the product, then pat it all over my face for a soft feel and a matte look. I'm not a big fan of the packaging but the product is great i love it.

6) Sally Hansen Natural Beauty foundation in Sandy Beige - this has been my HG foundation. I absolutely love it. The color is perfect, the lasting power is better than others and im going to point out again that it has a PUMP! Love it, definitely check it out if you haven't.

7) Skinny Bitch book - it's not a new book, but i've been reading this like over and over again and i love it haha. It's a slap in your face about eating right and changing your lifestyle to be healthy. I want to get in the habit of changing my lifestyle and be more healthy, because i don't believe in diets. Eating healthy= loosing weight. This book is a real "wake up" call about diets and health. Have you read this?

8) Urban Decay Naked Palette - of course i had to include this LOL! I use it constantly and i absolutely love it. I heard that this palette is a permanent one for urban decay and that makes me sooooo happy because now i dont have to worry about using up the colors and now be able to find them again. Swap Haul- UK Goodies! (Pic Heavy!)

So i recently did a swap with a gorgeous follower of mine, Sonia. She sent me so many awesome goodies i was very excited. All these products cannot be found in the US, unfortunately. Barry M, Gosh and Sleek makeup. I absolutely love every single thing i got and cannot wait to be able to use them all. So lets get started on each product and what i think of them.

GOSH COSMETICS
She sent me this really nice quad. I actually really love the colors and the quality. There's a sticker on the name so i dont know what its called but it says Q35, i just don't have the name of it. The colors are very nice and can work all together or just in pairs. The quality of the shadow is very soft, not too pigmented but buildable. There's a combination of satiny and semi-matte finish. It also comes with a double ended sponge applicator.

Also from Gosh, she sent me two nail polishes which im really loving. One color is 086-Rose, which is a nice creamy pale pink with a sort of sheen to it. It's going to be perfect for the holidays. The other color is 63-Sunset and i REALLY love this one. It's a nice orange sheen and i couldn't help but think Halloween lol!

SLEEK MAKEUP
I got a blush from Sleek Makeup. It's so cute! The packaging is so small and adorable and perfect to carry with you. It has a mirror too. The shade is in Pixie Pink 936. It's a gorgeous hot pink with a matte finish. Even tough it looks almost scary in the pan, it comes off very soft with a light hand. However, it is buildable if you desire a more dramatic cheek color. I think these are definitely worth checking out in other colors the quality is amazing.

BARRY M
I saved the best for last! She sent me four nailpolishes (Mushroom, Strawberry, Pink Flamingo, Berry), two lipsticks (129 Palest Lavender,101 Marshmallow), two lipglosses (12 Strawberry Milkshake,4 Pastel Pink), seven dazzel dusts and two glitter dusts.

I'm abolutely in LOVE with the nailpolishes. I can't wait to fix up my nails and wear them LOL! Mushroom is the darkest out of all of them and perfect for fall. Berry is a gorgeous lavender and i've been looking for a nice lavender and i finally have it lol. Strawberry is a gorgeous pale pink and it's just my type of shade, girly and gorgeous. Pink Flamingo is absolutely beautiful. It's a coral pink that basically has summer time written all over it lol I think this will be the shade i will make much use of for the rest of the summer.

The lipsticks are amazing yet different from each other. Marshmallow is VERY pale. Like the most nude lipstick i have in my collection. Im talking concealer nude. It seems a bit dry so you have to moisturize very welll beforehand. I definitely love the paleness to it though. Palest Lavender is a gorgeous color. It looks purple in the tube, but when applied it comes off as a soft pinky lavender. The consistency is extremely soft and moisturizing. It's super creamy so it might have the tendency to break easily or melt. It reminds me of the lustre finishes from Mac.

I love the lipglosses. Strawberry Milkshake is a creamy gloss with subtle sheen to it and it really smells like strawberries! Pastel Pink is more opaque than the other gloss, with more subtle shimmer which reflects blue/silver. This one smells like cotton candy! I love the consistency of both glosses. Very creamy, very soft and looks gorgeous.

These dazzle dusts are probably my most favorite. Im absolutely in love with the quality and pigmentation of all the shades she sent me. All the colors are gorgeous. They have a lot of sheen and shimmer to them. I haven't used them yet on my eyes but just by swatching them i can tell they're very easy to work with and to blend. Also the two glitters i got i didn't swatch because they're just basic glitter in two different shades, though they're both soft glitters, not hard chunky messy ones.

So this concludes my amazing swap haul. Thank you soooooo much Sonia for all these goodies, i absolutely love all of them and cannot wait to try them out. All of these makeup companies from the UK are amazing and worth getting your hands on if you have the chance. I will definitely be looking forward to trying out more from all Gosh, Barry M and Sleek.
