What's in my makeup box?

I mentioned in my last post that i will talk separately about what i carry in my makeup bag that i carry in my purse. Technically it's a box but it works to fit all the essentials that i feel are necessary for me to take around. Even though i don't tend to fully touch-up my makeup throughout the day, aside from maybe lipstick or gloss, i still like to keep these things just in case. Sometimes at work the girls ask me to put makeup on them randomly and so these things are just the right products to use to give someone a makeover. Everything is somewhat packed tightly together but they still fit just right.
So here's everything spread out...
(from Left to Right in to particular order)

Lorac e/s mini in Serenity - this is a bronzy shade that i rarely use but i threw it in here because its so cute and small
Mac Togetherness Trio - this is one of the favorite shadow combo. I rarely use it so i threw it in here because i know i would for sure use it in any case.
NYC e/s in Nutty - this is a really nice neutral shadow, i really love it.
Too Faced - blush brush
Nivea Lip balm - love this stuff, very moisturizing
Mac Myth - one of my favorite lipsticks of all time
Three lipglosses from Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Mint (my fav), Mocha, Candy Cane
Nars Orgasm Illuminator mini - i'm really considering purchasing the full size i really love the glow it adds to the cheeks
Nail File
Eyeshadow brush
Tweezers
Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero
Mini Mascaras - Mary Kay and Mac Zoom Lash
Perfume samples - Juicy Couture and Marc Jacobs

Tag: What are my go-to products?!

I recently saw this type of post on Nattys blog (HERE) and i thought it's a such a good idea! We all find ourselves pressured by time...i know i do all the time. I always think i have enough time when i get ready but then i end up taking forever. My mom tells me i have to get ready at least two hours before anything so i can be ready LOL! I always like to take my time when i do my makeup for just two simple reasons. One is i really want it to look nice and not walk one looking like a messy clown. Second, i really enjoy the process of putting makeup on. It's art and i enjoy making myself look pretty - who doesn't like that right!?
Ok so with that said, here are the go-to products that i love using...

New HG liner!

The new Milani Liquif Eye metallic eye liner pencil
One word ... AMAZING!
Many of you might be familiar with, now, my ex-HG eyeliner, which is the L'oreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner, which is about $8-$9. This new discovery of mine, the new Milani liner pencil is about $5-$6. The quantity doesn't matter as much as the quality. Even though the love of my life, L'oreal pencil is still amazing, i noticed it would make my eyes very itchy by the end of the night. They are very comparable. They're both creamy and soft.
Since i decided its out with the old, and in with the new lets talk about it!

Milani Liquid Eye metallic eye liner pencil... new product from Milani that is definitely worth reaching for and compare to many high brand liners. It feels like a liquid liner and its intense color lasts throughout the day without smudging or fading. It comes in five different shades: Black, Silver, Gold, Aqua and Brown. I want to try the other colors also, because the various shades is like the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils, which i like because they give different choices of color you can choose from. The Milani pencils are limited and i really hope they bring out more colors with the same consistancy.
Pros:
- All day wear
- Smooth application
- Smudge -Proof
- Doesn't itch my eyes by the end of the day
- Great price

Cons:
- Limited colors
- Needs to be sharpened quite often

All-in-all its an amazing eyeliner and i highly recommend it if you haven't checked it out yet. For it to replace my L'oreal eyeliner which has been my HG for a year almost, it means its really amazing. Love it!

My Halloween [WARNING!-Picture Heavy]

Hey everyone! Hope all of you had a fun Halloween this year. Mine was pretty laid back. Spent time with my brothers at home watching scary movies all night! We got dressed up and just ate candy while getting scared haha. We ended up watching Sleepy Hallow, Sweeny Todd and The Mummy! Thanks to the daylight savings nonsense we got to stay up and enjoy our movies =) .Now on to my costume! I honestly didn't think i was going to dress up at all but the night before i had an idea to use what i have, do some crazy makeup and hair and be someone else other than myself lol Sooooooooooooooooooooo.... i decided to be Lydia from Beetlejuice! haha. I googled some pictures of her and i did the hair like she has it..or at least attempted lol the makeup i tried combining the cartoon one with the movie, but also keeping it pale yet pretty. I used a very light foundtion that i have from Physicians Formula (i dont know why i have it so light lol). The color is called Classic Ivory and i honestly do not know why i own such a light foundation but it worked perfectly lol. I also used two purples from my 120 palette and some black. I threw on some falsies from Ardell. I forgot the number lol Also for the cheeks to contour them i used a gray shadow from a NYX trio and mixed with the lighter purple that i used on my eyes. I paled out my lips with NYC cover stick and added a bit of purple shadow under my bottom lip to make my lips stand out a bit. That's basically it =). With the hair i used a lot of boby pins and wax for the bangs. That's about it =) I had a lovely photobooth photoshoot on my computer haha so enjoy the pictures and if you have any questions or comments leave them below =)

Kim Kardashian inspired look

Since i love Kim Kardashian so much, and had the chance to attempt a re-creation of her look..i did!... Of course she's gorgeous and i don't assume i look anything like her, but her makeup is always so flawless and i wanted to give it a try =)
Here's the picture that inspired me

And here's what i did...

STEP 1:
I used my 120 palette and added a gray-ish shimmer color all over my lid and a little above my crease
Step 2:
Using Mac eyeshadow in Smoke and Diamonds, i pack some on a crease brush and blend it in the crease with the gray-ish color to smooth it out
Step 3:
Wet a brush. Either with water (not too recommended), Fix+ (highly recommended) or eye drops from the drugstore (cheap alternative that i used =). I wanted to pack on the sparkly grey/silver color all over the lid and since it has a pigment feel to it, this worked really well.
Step 4:
With another brush (i used the crease brush because it's small), i used the silver color to add on top of the wet gray/silver from before. This made it look brighter.
Step 5:
I added some Stila Kajol eyeliner on my waterline and smudged it a bit
Step 6:
I used Ulta eyeshadow in Cocoa Bean. Any brown color would do to just add below the waterline and blend with the smudged black liner.
Final Steps:
I added Nars lipgloss in Turkish Delight, Mac Zoom Lash Mascara and Falsies =)

Here's my final look (including an attempt to imitate her style =P )

=)
